Sand-boarding on the Erg Chebbi high dunes around our camp is a a real adventure not like any, you get to Ride the Sahara with ease, smoothness and speed. So, after experiencing the Camel Ride this famous desert activity Sand-Boarding lets you travel with the wind from the top height o the golden dune to its bottom or middle such a feeling of joy and action you get to experience.

We have variety of sand boards for you to choose from, they diverse in size and style; you pick your preferred sand board to venture the sand dune.

We can either drive by 4x4 car to the top of the dune then you can start your sand boarding experience or if you want to really venture the desert you get to walk or camel ride until the top of the high dune or not so high its up to you.

Many civilizations from obsolescence, including the early Mesopotamian Babylonians, the Chinese, the Maya, the Arabs – in particular during the Midvale period – and the Greeks, following in their tracks, have discovered the sky, explored, named and experienced a lot of stars, planets, galaxies, and more. The Gnawa, descendants of African tribes forcibly brought to Morocco during the dark days of slavery, found themselves bound not only by chains but also by the power of their music. Across the vast expanse of the Sahara, they sang songs of solace and solidarity, finding strength in the midst of hardship.

The traditions of music are very much alive in the regions near the desert. Children are born already impregnated with the music that rises up every night in the tempo of drums to the star filled canopy above.

The Djembe, Darbuka and other Tam-Tam accompany songs about the life of the desert and sometimes push you to want to dance. From an early age children are introduced to this traditional music and young people spend the greater part of their evenings over tea between conversations and songs and learning to play the different instruments. For them it all comes naturally. It is part of the life and the fabric of this land. It is their heritage and their birthright.

Amidst their natural habitat, you’ll witness camels engaged in various roles: transporting goods with unwavering diligence, exuding an air of purposeful labour, and patiently awaiting the opportunity to offer you a memorable camel riding experience.

The thing about camels is they are in fact more intimidating up close than they are on a television screen. Camels, whether they have one hump or two, are pretty large. And they are not like dogs who endear themselves to you. Camels are aloof, they are proud, and there are those who think they are arrogant!

Actually, camels are fascinating creatures. Firstly, if you get to ride a camel in Morocco, and we really suggest you do, you will have assistance. Camels kneel down for you to mount them and it’s an easy process but it can be a bit unnerving. A guide will always be there to keep the camel in place, and to help you get up. Once you’re up, it’s a bit like balancing on a horse. There’s a hump for you to hold, and of course, there are reins too so you can balance and feel secure.

Riding through the desert on a camel is incredible. You feel like a Bedouin or a Nomad. The scenery is amazing – red sand, dunes for miles, the dark blue sky, and unless you ride to an oasis which you may well do, there is nothing around. Of course, when you do a camel desert safari, there is in fact plenty around, you just don’t see it easily. Guides carry delicious snacks, drinks and will set up camp for you in a shady spot (tea stop, water stop, lunch stop) in a luxurious and adventurous manner. You may be going for an hour ride, a half-day ride, or on an overnight safari. There are many options for our Moroccan camel tours, and they are all amazing.
